At Puritan, we are continually updating and upgrading our facilities and processes in order to meet the evolving needs of our customers. We are fully equipped for fast turnaround of standard products -- and the manufacturing of your custom orders.

Integrated manufacturing
We operate a fully-integrated manufacturing facility in Guilford, Maine U.S.A. Order processing, manufacturing, packaging, and shipping are handled from this centralized location. (We do have a full-line warehouse in California to speed delivery for our West Coast customers.)

Our facility is ISO 9001:2000 Registered, ISO 13485:2003 Regulated and CE Marked for shipment into the European community, so you can order with complete confidence in our stringent quality controls.

Materials from natural to hi-tech
We match materials with specific applications to make high quality products that deliver consistent performance. Wood-based products and wooden shafts are made from Northern White Birch, which yields a high tensile strength and is smooth to the touch. We card our cotton and other fibers to maintain quality control. For many of our specialty products we may use more “high tech” materials, such as rayon, polypropylene, urethane, calcium alginate, aluminum, stainless steel, and polystyrene, among others. For example, Puritan is the world’s leading provider of diagnostic polyester-tipped applicators.

And our facilities and processes are state-of-the-art. Our own engineering staff helps design many of our manufacturing equipment to enable new product and custom order production.

We pride ourselves on customer service. All of our employees, from manufacturing to service, are completely dedicated to making a quality product and getting it to our customers in a timely fashion. Puritan's customer service center is headquartered at our manufacturing facility. Here, computer systems are geared for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) to speed order taking and shipping. We have three sales offices across the U.S. which work with our distributors to serve and respond to customers in North America and around the world. And, in addition to our Maine facility, we maintain a full-line warehouse in California to provide service to our West Coast customers.

Our customer service reps can assist with all export documentation requirements to facilitate shipments, provide technical assistance, or answer other questions regarding any Puritan product.
